How automation saves
Four ways your home starts paying you back
Each automation targets real waste: heating empty rooms, devices on standby, running appliances at expensive hours, hidden leaks and EVs charging at peak price.
Electricity
Your appliances react to prices and presence automatically.
Smart plugs cut standby power (≈ 11% of home use)
Lights follow presence and daylight
Washer, dishwasher and boiler run in cheap hours
Peak control keeps your capacity tariff low
€131–331per year*
Heating & gas
Heat only the rooms you use, only when you need them.
Learning thermostat and room zoning
Geofencing: heating lowers when everyone leaves
Open-window detection
Weather-forecast pre-heating
€94–181per year*
Water
Catch leaks early and water the garden only when needed.
Leak sensors with instant phone alerts
Automatic main-valve shut-off
Weather-based garden irrigation
Usage insights per day
€21–47per year*
EV home charging
Your car charges when power is cheapest or comes from your roof.
Charge in cheap night/midday hours
Solar-surplus charging
Load balancing avoids peak penalties
Ready by your departure time
€250–369per year*

EV smart charging
Charge smarter, drive cheaper
At the average Belgian price, home charging costs ≈ €8.09 per 100 km (20 kWh incl. losses). Smart charging moves that energy to cheaper hours or to your own solar power.

Cheapest hoursDynamic tariffs are usually cheapest at night and around midday.

No peak penaltyIn Flanders every extra kW of monthly peak costs ≈ €53.39/yr; load balancing avoids it.

HomeIQ smart charging (typical)≈ €845 / yr
Avoided capacity-tariff peak (Flanders example)≈ €374 / yr
An unmanaged 11 kW charger raising the peak from 4 to 11 kW ≈ 7 kW × €53.39 (excl. VAT).
Smart-charging saving ≈ €250–369/yr (Frank Energie 2026; laadpaal-gids.be). Estimates.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
How much can I really save?
For an example Belgian household we estimate ≈ €250–560 per year without an EV and ≈ €500–930 with one, at September 2026 prices. Your result depends on your home, contract and habits, so we calculate it during the home check.
Do I need a digital meter or a dynamic tariff?
Not to start. Thermostat, standby, lighting and water automations work with any meter. To profit from hourly prices you need a digital meter and a dynamic contract. We help you decide if it suits you, because inflexible usage can make a dynamic tariff more expensive.
Does it work with my existing devices?
Usually yes. We work with common standards (Matter, Zigbee, Wi-Fi) and popular thermostats, chargers and inverters.
What is the capacity tariff?
In Flanders part of the grid cost depends on your highest 15-minute peak each month (≈ €53.39 per kW per year in 2026). Automation spreads heavy loads such as EV charging to keep that peak low.
What does the AI assistant do with my data?
It uses your home’s usage data to learn patterns and suggest savings. You stay in control of what is automated.
Do you work in all of Belgium?
